    This scholarship will be awarded to a female Aerospace Gateway to Industry School student in Year 12. This award is valued up to $5,000, which will cover the student contribution for 12 months formal training, including all the theory and off-the-job practical components of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics, Mechanical or Structures/Mechanical). The winner will commence this course during 2022 at Aviation Australia’s Brisbane or Cairns campus.
  • Requirements

    To apply for this scholarship the applicant must: 1. have a keen interest in becoming an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. 2. submit a short video (no more than 4 minutes) prepared by the applicant. The video will highlight why he aspires to become an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, can provide examples of his involvement in ‘hands on’ projects, and illustrates his personal qualities, which particularly indicate why he is a suitable recipient of the scholarship. 3. upload their video electronically via Vimeo or YouTube. 4. have a sound achievement or higher in Mathematics, Science and Aerospace or Engineering-related subjects (such as Aerospace Systems, Industrial Technology Skills or Engineering Skills). 5. have a good school attendance record (provided by the school). 6. provide a good reference from the Principal or Head of Department (to be provided by the school).
  • Judging

    Judging of all applications will be considered soon after, and if necessary, some applicants may be asked to make themselves available for an interview at a later date. The winner will be announced at the 2021 Aerospace Industry Education Awards ceremony on Wednesday 24 November 2021.
