• APPLICATIONS CLOSE 11pm WED 6 OCT 2021

The Australian Youth Aerospace Association (AYAA) Award is a prize for enthusiastic students in Year 10 or 11 that display a strong passion towards a topic in aviation or aerospace. Applicants DO NOT have to be studying an aerospace subject. The AYAA believes the development of the Australian aviation and aerospace industries is heavily dependent on providing the youth of Australia with awareness and opportunity to become great leaders. Each year, the AYAA hosts the Australian Youth Aerospace Forum (AYAF), a five-day live-in conference which provides students the opportunity to investigate careers and pathways in the aviation and aerospace industries. The Forum is designed to showcase the various university and industry opportunities available to students upon completion of secondary school. It runs in the June-July school holidays. The prize is a fully funded scholarship to attend the AYAF in the succeeding year. There will be two (2) recipients of this prize. Depending on the geographical location of the winning students, a travel bursary may be offered. This will be at the discretion of the 2021 organising committee.
  • Requirements

Application will be by way of submission of a video, no more than one minute long, demonstrating what or who inspires the student to pursue aviation or aerospace as a career. The video will be submitted electronically using Vimeo or YouTube. Applicants are also encouraged to talk about an aviation or aerospace topic they are knowledgeable in, and to link this with their inspiration in aviation or aerospace. Application MUST also include students full name, school, email and phone number, as well as parent/guardian name, email, and phone number.
