• STUDENT APPLICATIONS CLOSE 8am Monday 19th August 2024

    This award is for a year 12 student that demonstrates a keen interest in becoming an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME). The winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship which will cover the student contribution for 12 months formal training, including all the theory and off-the-job practical components of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics, Mechanical or Structures/Mechanical) at the institution of their choice. The winner will commence this course during 2025 and will receive a certificate recognising their achievement.
  • Requirements

    This award is open to year 12 students enrolled in an Aerospace Gateway to Industry School. The student is not required to study any Aerospace subject.
  • Judging

    The judging committee will review a student video presentation submitted by the applicant. Applicants are required to have a keen desire to become an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Schools will be required to submit a letter of endorsement for the candidate by the Principal, Deputy Principal or a Head of Department.
  • This award is open to students enrolled in an Aerospace Gateway to Industry School.

  • A video presentation (using Vimeo or YouTube) no longer than 4 minutes. In this video the student must articulate why they aspire to become an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, highlight their personal qualities that align with becoming an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and make them a suitable recipient of this scholarship.
