• STUDENT APPLICATIONS CLOSE 8am Monday 19th August 2024

    This award recognises a year 12 student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities, is highly effective when working with groups and displays exceptional integrity when dealing with people. Up to 3 finalists will receive $250 and a certificate recognising their achievement. The winner will receive a further $500, and a certificate recognising their achievement
  • Requirements

    This award is open to year 12 students enrolled in an Aerospace Gateway to Industry School. The student is not required to study any aerospace subject. This is a general leadership excellence award.
  • Judging

    The judging committee will review a student written response submitted by the applicant along with a copy of their resume. Some applicants may be asked to make themselves available for an online interview to finalise results. Schools must submit a statement from a Head of Department, Deputy Principal or Principal supporting the student’s application for the application to be complete.
  • This award is open to students enrolled in an Aerospace Gateway to Industry School.

  • A written response (no more than 250 words) by the student addressing the attributes listed below. 1. What leadership means to them. 2. Communicates goals and objectives to motivate others – Makes sure that everyone on the team/class/group understands the focus and is enthusiastic. 3. Listens to others’ ideas and opinions — Makes sure that they really understand others. Uses appropriate communication techniques and tools to ensure this. 4. Leads by example — Tries to treat others as they would like to be treated. States personal values and lives by those values even in difficult situations.
