    This award is for a student who can demonstrate their enthusiasm and motivation for a career as a pilot and has received minimal or no flying experience. Students must be at least 16 years of age at 30 November 2024 to apply.
  • Requirements

    This award is open to students enrolled in an Aerospace Gateway to Industry School. All applicants must be at least 16 years of age at 30 November 2024 and have no more than 50 flying hours in a fixed wing powered aircraft (Please note: Simulator time is NOT flying time). There is no subject requirement for this award.
  • Judging

    The judging committee will consist of members of the Honourable Company of Air Pilots (Australian Region). The committee will review a student written essay and video presentation submitted by the applicant. Schools must submit a letter of endorsement for applications to assist the judging committee for the application to be complete.
  • This award is open to students enrolled in an Aerospace Gateway to Industry School.

  • A written essay of no more than 500 words (A4 page with 12 point spacing with line spacing of 120%) outlining what you think have been two major impacts on the aviation industry in the 21st century.
