    This award is for a year 11 student that demonstrates a keen interest in securing an apprenticeship as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME)
  • Requirements

    This award is open to year 11 students enrolled in an Aerospace Gateway to Industry School. There is no subject requirement for this award.
  • Judging

    The judging committee will consist of representatives from the Qantas Engineering Pipeline Group. The committee will review a student. 1.video presentation submitted by the applicant showing genuine interest to learn all things hands on, this could also be an interest around how aircraft fly, how aircraft are maintained and your willingness to learn. Judges are looking for applicants that demonstrate: 1. A genuine interest in pursuing a career in aircraft maintenance through an apprenticeship program. 2. A high level of dedication and passion for aircraft maintenance. 3. An ability to demonstrate a positive and willing attitude. Schools must submit a letter of endorsement for applications to be complete.
