    This award is for a year 12 student that demonstrates a keen interest in becoming an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME). The winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship which will cover the student contribution for 12 months formal training, including all the theory and off-the-job practical components of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics, Mechanical or Structures/Mechanical) at the institution of their choice. The winner will commence this course during 2027 and will receive a certificate recognising their achievement.
  • Requirements

    This award is open to year 12 students enrolled in an Aerospace Gateway to Industry School. The student is not required to study any Aerospace subject. Previous winners in any award category are ineligible to reapply for the same category.
  • Judging

    Please note that each completed application form, including any personal information provided, will be shared with judging representatives from Boeing. The judging committee will review a student video presentation submitted by the applicant. Applicants are required to have a keen desire to become an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. A school representative will be required to support the application for judging.
  • This award is open to students enrolled in an Aerospace Gateway to Industry School.

  • A video presentation (using Vimeo or YouTube) no longer than 4 minutes. In this video the student must articulate why they aspire to become an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, highlight their personal qualities that align with becoming an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and make them a suitable recipient of this scholarship.
