    This award recognises a year 11 student that demonstrates a keen interest in exploring an aircraft maintenance engineer pathway. The winner will receive a $200 cash prize, a medallion and a certificate. The winning student will be offered a tailor-made five-day immersive work experience and networking opportunity in Brisbane with Qantas Group team members, including AME apprentices and apprentice managers. ** This prize is subject to operational requirements, workplace health and safety, and security clearances. Each remaining finalist will receive a $100 gift card and a certificate.
  • Who can apply?

    This award is open to year 11 students enrolled in an Aerospace Gateway to Industry School. The student is not required to study any aerospace subject. Previous winners in any award category are ineligible to reapply for the same category.
  • Judging

    Please note that each completed application form, including any personal information provided, will be shared with judging committee representatives. The committee will review a video presentation submitted by the applicant along with any supporting comments from a teacher.
