Empowerment Award Nomination Form
SCHOOL NOMINATIONS CLOSE 8am Monday 25th August 2025
The aerospace industry celebrates the diversity that exists amongst its people. This award is intended to support the growth of this inclusive workforce by encouraging motivated students from a range of underrepresented groups that demonstrate an interest, and take steps to actively pursue, an education in aviation and/or aerospace. The winner’s bursary is to recognize a student’s enthusiasm and dedication to their studies and will support them to continue their journey towards an aerospace career.
Requirements
Previous winners in any award category are ineligible to reapply for the same category. This award is open to year 7 to 12 students enrolled in an Aerospace Gateway to Industry School. School representatives are asked to nominate a student that identifies with an underrepresented group, demonstrates a motivation for aviation and/or aerospace and they feel is deserving of recognition and encouragement to continue their education in the field of aviation and/or aerospace. The Principal, Deputy Principal or HOD signature is required to support the school nomination. There is no Aerospace subject requirement for this award.
Judging
Please note that each completed application form, including any personal information provided, will be shared with academic representatives of the Griffith Aviation Discipline. The committee will review a teacher written submission on behalf of the applicant.
