Aviation High Aerospace Experience Day
Ever wanted to step inside the world of aviation? Aviation High School’s Aerospace Experience Day on October 24 is giving Brisbane families the chance to get up close to aircraft, meet aviation professionals and try their hand at some seriously cool activities.
This annual event will transform Aviation High School in Clayfield into a hub of flight, innovation and discovery, with plenty happening for aviation enthusiasts, curious kids and anyone interested in what it takes to work in the industry.
One of the highlights will be the chance to build and launch your own rocket, before putting your skills to the test on flight simulators. You can also watch helicopters land and take off from the school oval, offering a rare chance to see the action up close.
There’ll also be plenty of aviation experts on hand, with guests from organisations including Qantas Pilot Academy, Airwork Helicopters, Airbus and Brisbane Airport Corporation. Visitors can meet pilots, engineers, drone operators, air traffic controllers and other industry professionals, while learning more about the different pathways into careers across the aviation industry.
Whether you’re dreaming of becoming a pilot, fascinated by aircraft and technology, or simply looking for something different to do with the family, it’s a chance to discover just how many opportunities exist beyond the cockpit.
