DESCRIPTION:[Please note:  This activity is open to students from any school.  Students from an Aerospace Gateway School are eligible for discounted ticket pricing] \nOver the course of two-action packed days\, the Innovation in Aviation school holiday program with Qantas Pilot Academy will see students getting hands-on with a range of challenges and activities to design what the future of flying in 2032 will look like. \nDuring the program\, participants will design the cabin of a long haul aircraft\, redesign an airport of the future and learn about how we could use drones to move people around our cities. With expert instructors and a focus on interactive learning\, our aviation program has been designed to inspire and engage attendees\, giving them the opportunity to explore the latest trends and technologies in the aviation industry. \nWith industry speakers\, hands-on experiences and a tour of the Qantas Pilot Academy facilities\, students will leave this program inspired by the future of aviation. Whether you’re wanting to explore a career in aviation\, or if you’re just wanting to spend a few days innovating and creating\, this hands on program is full of exciting opportunities to help you bring your ideas to life. This is a 2-day program\, with each day running from 9:00am – 3:00pm. Students may be dropped off from 8:30am and collected by 3:30pm. \nWhere Will The Program Be Held?\nThe program will be held at Qantas Pilot Academy and FTA at 15 Airport Dr\, Wellcamp QLD 4350 \nWhat Do Students Need To Bring?\nWe ask that students bring morning tea\, lunch\, a device (laptop/tablet/etc.) and wear closed in shoes if they have one. But with the development of ultra-long-range aircraft\, flights from the East Coast of Australia to Europe and North America are becoming a reality. This shift is sparking major innovations in aircraft design\, passenger experience\, and airport infrastructure. \nIn this hands-on program\, students will reimagine a section of Brisbane Airport’s international terminal to cater for passengers preparing to board 20+ hour flights.
